These guys have a thin crisp skin and airy white firm flesh reminiscent of apples in taste and consistency. They are about the size of a walnut and have a hard seed running almost the length of the fruit. At this stage they are slightly under ripe and continue to a reddish color but flesh becomes more mealy.
